Apple-Carte has been engaged again this year to provide the summer programme of Victorian enactments at the Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse museum, which is just two miles north of Dereham, Norfolk. Come and meet the likes of Larter Waite the 'casual' or tramp, Mrs Beck who has unexpectedly fallen on hard times or Mrs Hopkins and her family as they adjust to life in the workhouse. Also come and meet Mr Bradfield and experience one of his lessons in the Victorian schoolroom - but don't be late!
We shall also be supplying a number of characters to the museum for their annual Village at War, a weekend of Second World War experiences on 29th and 30th August. Our Sergeant Major is ready to put you through some of his exacting drill - "head up, chin in, chest out, stomach in, ....you might have broken your mother's heart but you won't break mine!"

Apple-Carte enactors were prominent at the highly acclaimed Village at War at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse over the August bank holiday. Our drill sergeant met some prominent people (see picture), our Land Army Girls were kept busy at the farm and our 1940's cinema usherette made sure that there was no hanky-panky in the cinema! Our enactors will return to a Victorian theme on 17th September for the Gressenhall Over 55's Day and on 24th October for the popular Apple-Day.
